Transformed Government Data Into Interactive Public Insights
We helped a government agency turn static CSV datasets into an interactive public transparency portal. Built on WordPress, it delivers responsive data tables, charts, and year-wise insights for citizens and researchers alike.
Overview
A state government agency needed to turn an opaque, CSV-based dataset into an accessible public transparency portal.
The data lived in large CSV files and spreadsheets that were hard to query, visualize, or keep current. Shrijan Tech partnered with the agency to design and deliver a WordPress-based database site that made the records searchable, viewable, and visually meaningful. We ingested hundreds of thousands of rows into a managed MySQL backend, built REST APIs for dynamic querying, and created responsive tables and interactive visualizations (pie charts, bar charts, time-series graphs) with year-wise filtering. The result: citizens and journalists could now explore, filter, and export data from any device improving civic trust and enabling data-driven public conversations.

Solutions Provided
Built an ETL pipeline to validate, normalize, deduplicate, and import CSV files into MySQL (phpMyAdmin for administration). We automated schema mapping and created consistent canonical tables for queries.
Implemented a WordPress site with custom PHP plugins to surface datasets as responsive, paginated tables using server-side processing for performance.
Integrated Chart.js and DataTables to render pie charts, bar charts, and time-series graphs. Added year-wise filtering, dynamic legend controls, and export (CSV/PDF) functions for users.
Developed secure RESTful APIs with token-based access to support embeddable widgets, third-party apps, and internal dashboards while protecting sensitive endpoints.
Created an admin interface inside WordPress for CSV uploads, field mapping, validation reports, and one-click publishing removing developer bottlenecks.
Optimized queries, added indexing in MySQL, implemented caching layers, and applied security best practices (input sanitization, rate limiting, role-based access).
